Here is what the film Hands of Flame has been up to in the last few months:
First, the film won Best Animated Film at the incredible New Hampshire Film Festival in the lovely town of Portsmouth, NH.
Then, we screened at the Garden State Film Festival and the Cherry Hill Volvo Jewish Film Festival.
My grandmother, the inspiration for the film, got to attend the festival in my hometown festival in the theater I went to as a child. It was truly an awesome experience. This June, she celebrates her 90th birthday.
Earlier this month, Hands of Flame traveled to the prestigious New Hope Film Festival in Pennsylvania and took home the Audience Choice for Best Student Film and Best Animated Film, as well as being nominated for Best Student Film, Best Experimental Film, and the Cultural Spirit Award. Thank you to everyone at the festival!

Hands of Flame won second place for Best Film at the Trinity Film Festival, an incredible undergraduate film festival. Thank you to the amazing people at the festival, and congratulations to all my fellow RIT filmmakers on being selected.
Hands of Flame took home Best Animated Film at the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival a few weeks ago! Thank you to everyone at the festival.
Hands of Flame plays in New York City this Sunday at the Take Two Film Festival, playing at 5 pm at the historic Film Anthology Archives!
